Research & Evaluation

Research services provided include socio-economic research, primary research using surveys, interviews, workshops and focus groups, and policy reviews.

The regeneration projects and programmes we help to develop will always be based on thorough analysis of local economic indicators such as the local labour market and skills situation, barriers to enterprise, drivers for growth etc, including an analysis of economic strategies from local through to national level.

We have successfully delivered a number of research commissions within the last two years in Lincolnshire, Rutland and Leicestershire to assess higher level skills requirements of employers, barriers to growth for micro businesses and sector skills requirements for the care sector.

We are also involved in evaluations of both small and larger projects related to enterprise and skills. Current research and evaluation projects include an action based research project looking at barriers to starting up a business for migrant entrepreneurs in South Lincolnshire and an evaluation of a pioneering project tackling worklessness in Nottingham.
