BUSINESS IN SOUTH HOLLAND SURVEY ANALYSIS – SEPTEMBER 2007

BACKGROUND

A questionnaire was mailed to businesses in South Holland. The aim being to capture information about the businesses operating in South Holland and determine future business needs. The information will feed into the review of the Economic Development Strategy and emerging Local Development Framework.  

METHODOLOGY

In July 2007 a questionnaire was mailed to 1830 businesses in South Holland (taken from database held in Economic Development). The questionnaire contained questions about current business, business support, future business plans, and satisfaction with the SHDC Economic Development Team. A total of 203 completed questionnaires were returned and then analysed. The response rate for this self-completion questionnaire was 11%. 

RESULTS

All results exclude no responses.

The survey is new this year so there is no comparison data with previous years.

For some questions respondents were given the option of ticking an ‘other’ category. A list outlining all of the comments given in ‘other’ categories is included in appendix A.
